Privacy policy

This policy covers the WordPress plugins Glutenberg Logic and Glutenberg Logic Pro. They are made by Steuber Design, based in the Netherlands and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 09162322. Steuber Design is the controller for the personal data described here, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. You can reach us at info@steuberdesign.nl.

The plugin itself

Glutenberg Logic makes no external connections of its own, and adds no tracking and no cookies to your site. It does not collect data about the visitors of your site. The only external service involved is Freemius, described below, and it only receives data in the situations listed here.

Freemius

We use Freemius (Freemius, Inc.) for licensing and payments. Freemius is the merchant of record: it sells Glutenberg Logic Pro to you and handles the payment. The Freemius privacy policy and Freemius terms of service apply to the data Freemius processes.

Optional opt-in

After activating the plugin, an administrator can choose to allow or skip sharing data. Skipping sends nothing. Only after allowing, the Freemius SDK in the plugin sends:

  • the administrator's name and email address;
  • the site's address (URL) and title;
  • the WordPress and PHP versions and the site language;
  • the plugin and SDK versions;
  • the lists of installed plugins and themes;
  • events of this plugin while the site stays opted in: activation, deactivation, uninstall and version changes.

An administrator can opt out later on the Plugins screen. After opting out, the SDK stops sending this data.

Pricing and checkout

When an administrator opens the upgrade link or the pricing page in the plugin, the plans and prices are loaded from Freemius (api.freemius.com), and the checkout runs on Freemius.

Deactivation feedback

When the plugin is deactivated, an administrator can send the reason to Freemius. It is only sent when the administrator submits it.

Glutenberg Logic Pro licence

Activating a licence sends the licence key, the site's address and the plugin version to Freemius. While the licence is active, the plugin checks Freemius for updates and for the licence status.

Buying Glutenberg Logic Pro

When you buy a licence, Freemius collects your name, email address, billing address and, if you give one, your VAT number. The payment is handled by Freemius and its payment providers.

Marketing email

We only send marketing email if you have given explicit consent for it. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Support email

If you email us for support, we use your name, email address and the content of your message to answer you.

Why we process this data

  • Opt-in data and marketing email: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, as described above.
  • Purchase and licence data: to perform the contract: to deliver the licence, updates and support.
  • Purchase and invoice records: our legal obligation to keep financial records.
  • Support email: to answer your question, as part of the contract or, for users of the free version, our legitimate interest in helping the people who use our plugin.

How long we keep data

  • Purchase and invoice data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
  • Support email: 1 year after your request is closed.

Freemius keeps the data it processes according to its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent. To use these rights, email info@steuberdesign.nl. If you think we handle your data carelessly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the authority in your own country.

We never sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update it on this page and change the date at the top.
